AI has become more prevalent than ever, but effectively using it is a skill that takes time to develop. It’s not just about using the tool—it’s about understanding how to craft prompts and stay up to date with the latest advancements to get the most value from it. When used correctly, AI can support both user research and user interface design, helping streamline workflows, generate insights, and accelerate the creative process.

AI For Component Making

By using applications like V0, we're able to input prompts such as "Create a hero section image area for a candy website—make it fun and modern so I can feature an image of a child eating," and receive a solid blueprint to work from. This provides a strong starting point, allowing me as a designer to step in and refine the layout, adding a polished and personal touch that aligns with the brand and enhances the overall user experience.

AI For CRO Analysis Opportunities.

By using ChatGPT Premium, we're able to leverage plugins like "CRO Sales" to upload images of web pages in both mobile and desktop formats. The AI can then analyse these visuals to identify CRO opportunities, such as suggesting “proxy product cards for upselling” or “testimonials to build user trust.” This proves valuable not only for user research but also for supporting the sale of CRO packages within agencies, offering data-backed insights to drive design and conversion improvements.

AI For Data Interpreation

By using AI, I’m able to upload simple screenshots of GA4 data and receive clear, simplified breakdowns of what the data means. This is incredibly beneficial as a designer, as it speeds up the analysis phase of user research and helps surface key insights more efficiently. It also allows me to present the data in an easily digestible format for clients who may not be familiar with GA4, making conversations around performance and design decisions much more accessible.

AI For Design Interpretation

Using AI applications like ChatGPT to interpret design choices identified during workshops or UX design reviews adds clarity and fluency to explanations. It helps simplify technical design language, making documentation more accessible for clients so they can easily understand the direction we’re heading in. This approach not only benefits design teams but also supports other departments—such as account managers, content teams, and sales—by ensuring everyone is aligned and able to confidently communicate the design rationale.
